Confessions of an MOG Episode Six

Invitations are out, halleluia. The little packages became increasingly complicated as the bride and groom insisted on adding embellishments including:
  • not one but two ribbons around the reception, response, driving directions cards and return envelope.
  • a trinket tied to the ribbon; some were ampersands, but there weren't enough so they turned to small hearts - same as were used on the shower invitations.

  • a wax seal in blue of an ampersand closing the inner envelope. Here's a picture of my son with the seal.

Luckily there was nothing fancy added to the outside envelope because as they were, they were nearly a dollar to mail.

They are lovely, and the kids are thrilled. As the responses come in they are alternately worried there will be too many people and they'll owe more money; or worried they won't meet their minimum of 225 people.

Here's the final product! And the bride printing the envelopes. Wedding planning is not for the faint of heart.
